What should visitors know before entering the library?
In accordance with new CDC guidelines, visitors and employees are no longer required to wear a mask. Masks are available at the front desk.

What services will be available in the library?
Visitors to the library may browse books, check-out materials with a library card, return materials, and use a public computer, printer, and/or copier.

WiFi continues to be available 24/7 inside and outside the library (signal is strongest near Station Street).

Do you offer curbside pick-up?
Yes, we do offer curbside pick-up for your library materials. Please call the library at 603-692-4587 to request this service, and we will get your library materials ready and bring them out to your car for you.

How do I return items?
Place them in the outdoor book drop, or bring them into the library.

Our Mission Statement

The Somersworth Public Library will provide the citizens of the City of Somersworth access to the materials and services necessary for their informational, cultural, educational, and recreational needs. The Library will actively encourage every citizen to read and appreciate learning. It will also provide the materials needed to provide future generations with a record of the history and heritage of the City.

The Somersworth Public Library is located Downtown at 25 Main Street. The parking lot is between the Library and the Post Office buildings, and can be entered from Station Street.
